At Dallas, Jere Lehtinen snapped a tie at 9:06 of the third period with the last of the host Stars' three power-play goals. Stephane Robidas added a short-handed goal, and Stu Barnes made it 6-3.

Bryan Berard had two power-play goals, and Duvie Westcott added his first NHL goal for the Blue Jackets, who have lost eight of nine. Brenden Morrow, Bill Guerin and Jussi Jokinen also scored for the Stars, winners of seven of eight.
